This week Maddy is 3 weeks old. I'm amazed how much she has changed since being born. She looks so much like both me and her daddy. She is definitively our perfect little girl. She had her last doctors appointment last Monday where she weighted in at 5lbs 4.5oz which is now over her birth weight. When she was born she only weighted 4lbs 7oz and went down a little bit in weight which is normal and now she is back up in weight and is gaining almost a pound a week. One week has passed with me being alone with Maddy while my husband is at work. It has been going good, I'm tired all of the time since I'm always doing something with Maddy day and night. I remember 3 weeks being in the hospital on the day of my brothers birthday hoping that my little angel would come out perfect and healthy. Since I didn't make it to full term we where worried that she shouldn't come out crying and would have some kind of breathing problems. But when her little head got out of me she was screaming for dear life it was the best sound ever knowing that she was okay and was and still is perfect in avery way. Every day with her is a new and joyful to have her around us. I already can't believe this little preemie is almost one month old. I finally got her to start sleeping in her little bassinet that is me and my husband bed room. Maddy doesn't go back to the doctor till March where she will have her 2 month old check up.
This weekend my husband dad (pop), step mom (nana), Aunt Tammy (which is Maddy's great aunt), Grandma Judy (which is Maddy's great grandmother called grandma) came all the way down from Virginia to Kentucky to meet little Maddy for the first time. Their is still some family members that haven't meet the little one but they will in their own time. It seemed that everyone that came down to visit her had a good time and enjoyed being around Maddy even though all she wants to do is sleep and cry. They got some great pictures of Maddy. Now they are back in Virginia and won't be able to see little Maddy again till this summer when we all go down to the family reunion.
Next month we will be having visitors again this time its my husband Mamaw and Papaw which are Maddy's great grandmother and great step grandfather on my husbands mom side of the family. Also my husbands mom (grandma), and her two uncles Luck and Robbert should be coming down for their spring break. Also my husband little sister, Maddy's Aunt Samantha (Sam) and her boy friend/fiance should be coming down from their college spring break not only for my husband Birthday but also to see Maddy as well again. I know in May possible my parents know as Grammy and papaw will be coming back down and this time maybe also my grand parents on my moms side of the family might be able to come with to see the little one. She is still to small to travel by plan to go see them all the way in Mississippi as well as her only living grandfather on my dad side of the family.
